USAF / 4412th RQS (P) / HH-60 / Jolly Green Giant

4412th Rescue Squadron (Provisional)
Al Mubarak AB, Kuwait City International Airport, Kuwait
Full Colour
1993
This patch was Saudi made back in 1993, when the Squadron was activated. The unit was initially manned with crews from the 66th RQS at Nellis, before rotational units manned the Squadron. The patches that were made are all different, so suspect they are all hand made. The colour patches (with white background) are all fully embroidered, while the desert subdued versions I've seen are embroidered on twill. There's also a grammatical error with the patch as the are embroidered with 4412nd rather than 4412th easily mistaken between 2nd and 12th, especially if English isn't your first language. They also have embroidered in the bottom right crossed swords taken from the Kuwaiti Royal Cypher.
Fully embroidered with a fabric backing, schiffli edge with the Giant in Dexter.
Crews give the HH-60G's a look around in the blazing Kuwait sun.

This patch was made by the crews while deployed in Saudi Arabia for operations after the Gulf war in 1993. Locally made.
If you have one of these patches you'd be willing to sell, trade or donate, please get in touch, I'd love to hear from you.
