The HH-53C crashed 34 miles south of Albuquerque during a night refuelling mission without the aid of NVG's. All four crew were killed.
Barry Walls was a vetran on the Koh Tang Island/ USS Mayaguez mission flying Jolly Green 12.

I was a part of the notification group for Hardy’s widow the next day. It was one of his last transition flights from the HH-1H, heading to Hawaii. A sad incident indeed.
