On the 7 January 2013, Jolly 22 was part of a two ship HH-60G training night flight, from RAF Lakenheath's 56th RQS, performing low level training on the north Norfolk coast. During the flight Jolly 22 hit a flock of geese while flying at 110 feet at 110 knots rendering the pilot and co pilot incapacitated. The helicopter crashed on the nature reserve of Cley-Next-The-Sea with all four of the crew lost.
