Crashed shortly after 2am while flying surface surveillance for the scheduled launch of a Trident 1 missile from the USS Georgia. After it hit the water 3 crew escaped & were rescued, however 5 crew were lost when the Jolly Green Giant sank in 2,400 feet of water.
