Welcome to the Valley! Knowledge has no value unless you share it. This is my personal collection of USAF Jolly Green Giant patches & I want to share my passion of the heritage of the Jolly Green Giants mission with everyone. Please note: I'm afraid none of these patches are for sale, sorry.

ReplyDeleteThe first to get modified. I was the assistant Crew Chief.
I knew everyone on board including Ken Reinhard, who was my DO in Korea. Flew with Ralph Gehringer and Jeff Stevens at the Basic UH-60A Aviator's course at Fort Rucker before we were stationed together at Eglin and helped train Jeff Beseke. All of them were solid aviators and great human beings. Rest easy warriors. You will never be forgotten.
ReplyDeleteKen was my DO in Korea, RIP my friend.
ReplyDeleteI remember it well. I was stationed at Eglin at the time as an Engine guy with the 655th until Nov of 1987
ReplyDeleteI was TDY when we heard the news. Sad day. That was a solid crew.
