This scarf was given to me by a very good friend who I've known for 30 years, & who served with the 48th RQS at Holloman with the HH-60G.
The scarf was made by RAMA of California & has a top view of a HH-60G, Jolly Green Giant feet (5-5 toes, the correct amount!) & the Squadrons official emblem, along with the message "Help Stamp Out Fixed Wing".
He initially served on C-5's at Dover, the 20th TFW F-111E's at RAF Upper Heyford then
HH-60G's at Holloman. He then went to the Dayton, Ohio working for a company that made some parts for the National Museum at Dayton & is now the Curator of Aviation at the USS Intrepid in New York.
Here, Eric poses in front of "THE OLD CROW" a
EF-111A Raven which was based at RAF Upper Heyford with the 42nd ECS, the lightning bolts signifying the missions the Raven flew during Desert Storm.
Eric with the Enterprise Space Shuttle, a superb exhibition on the USS Intrepid, which Eric & all of his team are proud to have onboard.
If you have any additional information about this patch please contact me & I´ll get back to you.
Thanks👣
