188th Rescue Squadron
Taco Rescue
Kirtland AFB

This patch is from the newest Rescue Squadron from the New Mexico Air National Guard, and therefore the newest Jolly Green Giant unit. The Taco Rescue comes from aircrafts callsign "Taco" & is a morale patch for the Squadron, made in 2020 & made for lifting the spirits of the Squadron during the COVID pandemic. Initially only 13 patches were made for the original crews from the Squadron, however they were so popular another 100 were made, so only 113 were produced. A massive thank you to Kenny from the Squadron for donating the patch and keeping the heritage of the Jolly Green Giant going.
Fully embroidered with a selvedge edge Backed with hook & loop & the Giant in sinister with his guitar.

This looks to be a theatre made patch & with it having Pedro on the top scroll it probably came from Afghanistan, as this was the callsign that was used in that theatre of operations.
If you have one of these patches you'd be willing to sell, trade or donate, please get in touch, I'd love to hear from you.
Its the desert but its still cold as you can still see the snow on the ground. A Pavehawk practices landing in the desert on a training mission from Kirtland.
